A survey of artistic jewelry making from the Czech Republic with the most prominent artists covering from the 1930’s generation up to the Generation Z. The exhibition explores traditional crafts and fine arts for the making of new sculptural jewelry, to the most recent creations by the people born from 1995 to 2010 who are true digital natives.
Every year, just before Christmas time, the ILJM is filled with new and original creations. Since 1994, the Museum has been organizing activities and events that seek to promote handmade art.
The first Jewelry Artist In Residence Program to run in a museum worldwide is now open to national and international artists all year round. Artist Residents may choose to work in the Metalsmithing Studio (ZEM) or the Jewelry Crafts Studio (ZEDET) both located on the Museum premises.
