Museum Internships

Curatorial and Administrative Internships

Students and recent graduates interested in art museum careers may join the curatorial or administrative departments at the ILJMuseum and experience on site museum operational practices. Internships for international students are advised to fulfill at least 90 hours or 3 weeks of occupation. Internships run all year round except of August.

The ILJM offers internships for college students and recent graduates interested in art museum careers. Internships at the ILJM are a unique opportunity to learn about the operation of a small but dynamic museum. Interns work closely with administrative or curatorial staff and gain exposure to many aspects of museum work.

Interns are assigned with a specific project to be determined in collaboration with the museum director based on the museum’s current needs and the intern’s special interests.

Internships seats are available for at least 3 weeks with a maximum to two months (minimum 20 hours/week, maximum 30 hours/week). Please note that internships at the ILJM are unpaid.

We kindly request that all applicants for internships submit their applications as soon as possible. For more information and application brochures: administration@lalaounis-jewelrymuseum.gr

Please include the following in your cover letter: reasons for applying, specific interests in museum work, your preferred dates and the name and contact details of an academic reference.
